2 Weeks......

until my little princess arrives! I am getting so anxious! Luckily, I have been very busy at home and school, so the time is going pretty quickly. We have the nursery ready for the most part, except for the letters above her bed. My school had me a shower this week, and it was so much fun! I won the game for changing a baby the quickest....pretty proud of that one! I have another shower next Saturday, which is a week before my due date! I am visiting the doctor weekly, and he is pretty convinced that first timers go to their due date and beyond. But, I am still hoping she decides to make her grand entrance a week or so early!

Only 11 Weeks to Go!

I have started my countdown. Only 11 weeks from this past Tuesday until Addelin will be here! I think time is going slowly right now because I am home most of the day, and not too busy right now. However, I am ready for the time to FLY by! Last week my glucose levels came back higher than normal, so I had to go to the hospital to get more lab work done. I had to do the oral glucose test which is a four hour test. You have to fast for 12 hours, and then they draw your blood, you have to drink a drink (way worse than the first one) and then they draw your blood three more times after that! YUCK! But, it is over with....and thank goodness I don't have gestational diabetes!

I called about the baby furniture yesterday...still probably 4 more weeks! Ugh! It has already been 9 weeks...I am getting really impatient! We have done nothing to the nursery! We did buy a stroller and a Pack N Play, but that is it so far. I have my baby shower next Saturday, so I am really excited for that!

25 Weeks and a New House!

Well, I was 25 weeks on Tuesday....only 15 to go! I am really starting to feel the aches and pains of pregnancy. I can hardly get up off the couch because my back hurts so bad. Once I am up, it is fine, it's just the getting up part! I am still working out, but don't know how I am managing that. My doctor's office sent me to the hospital last week, so that was interesting. I hadn't felt her move in about 36 hours and was having alot of tightness in my chest. It was really hard to get a deep breath. I guess they were worried. I went to the ER and since I was over 20 weeks, they sent me to Labor and Delivery. They hooked me up and heard her hearbeat right away. I laid there for about 2 hours, until a nurse came in and told me that my chest pain and shortness of breath was part of being pregnant. I didn't even see a doctor! That kind of upset me....I mean, they make me rush to the hospital and then I am not even seen by a doctor. I kind of felt silly, but I guess its better to be safer than sorry. I go in next week for my glucola test and checkup. I had a big weight gain last month, so I am hoping it won't be quite as much this month! :(

We ordered her crib, a chest of drawers, and a longer chest/changing table over Memorial Weekend. The place where we got the furniture from, said it could be between 8-16 weeks before they get it in! I hope its not 16 weeks, or Addelin might beat it here...haha!

We finally got all moved and settled. I am loving my new house! It doesn't even seem like its mine! We have so much room, we don't even know what to do with some of the space. Mitch still needs to paint Addelin's room, but he has been so busy getting stuff done around here, I haven't really wanted to "harp" on him! :)

Well, the day after we found out, I, of course had to buy her a few outfits. I couldn't help myself. But, I have said no more!! I could spend a fortune, and I am sure as it gets closer, we will continue to get more clothes. I think this weekend Mitch and I are going to take a final look at furniture. Ugh...it's really expensive...we just need to do it, and get it over with. We heard the place where we are going to get it takes awhile, so we thought we better make a decision. This will be the last weekend we can look for awhile. We are moving in 2 weeks. So, needless to say, my house is a disaster! I can't wait to get settled, and really start working on Addelin's nursery!! EXCITING!!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!

Yep! We had our ultrasound yesterday and it is a girl! I knew it would be either, but to actually hear it, was shocking! The lady who did it said she looks perfect. Her brain, heart, and spine all look the way they are supposed to. It was such a huge relief, because you just wonder for so long if everything will be okay. Now, I can just sit back and fatten her up....haha! It was a day we will never forget! Her name is Addelin Anne.

I have been a bad blogger! It has been crazy around here! We have bought a new house and been trying to get that all squared away....thank goodness! It is everything I would ever want in a house....it's pretty much perfect! We close next month, so I have really got to get packing! I have 2 more classes until I am officially done with my master's!!!! I can't even begin to comprehend that I never have to go to school again! Oh, yeah....we find out the sex this Thursday....All of the tests have shown girl and most everyone we have talked to says girl....I am so anxious! It has been so hard not to buy things, but after Thursday that will all change! Hearing the heartbeat was so amazing, I can't imagine what seeing him or her will be like! All of my nausea is gone, so now I am just trying to adjust to the rapidly growing belly. This is the most recent belly pic from last Tuesday....17 weeks.

All I can say, is it was the most amazing sound I have ever heard! The nurse said it was "nice and strong." We go back May 1 to find out the sex....really excited about that! I talked him into letting me go 5 weeks, so we find out next time we go back! :)

First Meeting with the Doc

We met with the doc today for the first time. He did all of the internal stuff, and said everything looked good so far. I will just be nervous for the next couple of weeks....until we are "out of the woods." We didn't get to hear the heartbeat...you have to be 10-12 weeks, so we go back at the end of March to hear it! He also changed my due date to October 1st, which I thought was funny....one day earlier.

Another Snow Day.....

Well, we are on our 9th snow day! No more! I am done with snow days now.....our last day will probably be in the first or second week of June....yuck!! I start feeling so yucky when I lay around all day and can't go anywhere. I felt great all week until yesterday, and I guess because I didn't do much, it made me feel horrible....all day! On that note, I am not laying around today. I have to get a baby gift, get my hair done (yeah!), and I might do a little shopping!!!!! We go back to the doctor on Monday. I am really excited to finally get to meet with him. I am hoping we will get to see a pic or listen to the heartbeat. The nurse said it might be a little early, but they would try!!!

3 Snow Days so Far

We have not been to school yet this week! I do have to say it has been very nice to just rest and relax. I was really sick on Monday...thought it was from the pregnancy, but it lasted ALL day! I felt much better yesterday, and so far so good today. I am ready to get out today. Hopefully, the ice melts enough so I can at least get to the gym. We haven't lost power yet....2 years in a row...yeah! We're keeping our finers crossed, because it has flickered several times.

OB Nurse Appointment

We had our first appointment today with the OB Nurse. They did a pregnancy test, and she said is was immediate! That made me feel better, because sometimes your mind can play tricks! They did some bloodwork, and we went over insurance stuff...fun, fun! We did get our due date, which is October 2nd. She said when we meet with the Dr. next time, he might change it. So, that means I could possibly have this baby on my mom and aunt's bday....how fun!! I have been feeling sick only after I eat and in the morning when I first get up, but it soon fades away. Hopefully, that is the extent of it!

Yeah! I love snow days! We were out yesterday and today. I am really just hoping to get over this cold that I have! We will have to go 2 extra days at the end of the school year, but I would rather go when it is warmer out! I did absolutley nothing yesterday, so I am hoping the roads will clear up, so I can get to the gym today!

Well, it's official! I can't believe it.....but we're having a baby! According to my calculations, I am due on October 1st. I go to the doctor on Monday, so we will find out for sure!

Well, it has been about 3 months since I have written anything.....just been so busy with school. We have also been really busy on the house. We have completely redone the kitchen, which has been a lot of time and money, but looks so good now! I am really excited about it. It is really starting to look like Tuscany...haha....I wish! I am going to try to start being a better blogger, I am just not very good at putting all of the cutesy stuff in!!

Busy

I have been so busy since school started back! It is so crazy how it just takes over everything for awhile! I also started my classes for my master's the night before school started. I am really enjoying my weekend. I got my hair done today....I am back to brunette. Originally, I wanted it a little blonder, but my hairstylist said it will fade in a couple of days to the color that I want. I think we are going to the lake tomorrow, so I am really excited to get away for the day! My birthday is in a couple of weeks, and I have GOT to get some comfy shoes to wear this winter. Boots and Loafers....if anyone has any good suggestions, I would take them. I practically had to crawl out to my car everyday last year, because my feet hurt so bad by the time school was over! Have a great weekend!!

I have officially started a blogging frenzy! I am trying to figure everything out, and how it works....not to good with computers! I find it very relaxing and theraputic to put into words, what is going on in my (our) life!
